Hats off to Greg Brooks of Sub Sea Research for organizing the relief mission to Haiti on his 220-foot boat M/V Sea Hunter.

It was great to see the efforts of the staff, volunteers, and Maine community on January 26.

Special thanks to shipmaster Kevin Garthwaite of Wells, who volunteered to sail with Sea Hunter to Haiti to alleviate concerns about the ship's lack of a licensed crew.

Thanks Greg Brooks and staff

of Sub Sea Research LLC.

Thanks Heidi Barker for helping to transport items!

Dave Stenberg of Sanford Marden’s has

a “heart of gold.”  He has been a faithful

supporter of the York County Shelter

Programs.  When he was asked last minute if he had anything for the boat to Haiti, he responded by donating several hundred pounds of rice.  Thanks Dave for your generosity.
